Safe & Sound at CDSHotels Working together to prevent the spread of Covid-19
The measure outlined in this guide are adapted from “Operational considerations for the management of the COVID-19 emergency in the hospitality sector: Provisional orientation” (version updated on 06/04/2020) and of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 17 May and the “Guidelines for the reopening of economic, productive and recreational activities” issued by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. In the event that WHO updates these guidelines or if the national or regional government updates or introduces new internal guidelines, CDSHotels will adapt and adhere to these corporate guidelines as necessary.
We have designed a protocol inline with guidelines set out by the Italian Government and WHO to make sure you have a safe, sound and stress free-stay at CDSHotels.
We can fast-track your arrival and departure with online check-in (link) , process payments electronically and minimise contact by dealing with phone enquires or with the CDSHotels Directory Digital App, downloadable at www.catalog.cdshotels.it.
There are special signs in different languages around the hotel displaying key safety rules to keep everyone protected.
A reminder of how to keep Safe & Sound at CDSHotels
- Social distancing includes refraining from hugging, kissing, or shaking hands with guests and staff. It involves maintaining a distance of at least 1 metre (3 ft) and avoiding anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Hand hygiene means regularly and thoroughly cleaning hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or washing them with soap and water. Also avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth. We advise hand sanitization after exchanging objects (money, credit cards).
- Respiratory etiquette means covering mouth and nose with bent elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing. You should dispose of used tissues immediately in a bin with a lid.
What if I feel unwell?
Don’t panic, let us know about any symptoms such as a fever, sneezing, a cough and respiratory problems immediately. We will ask you to self-isolate in your room, call a doctor for you and supply the help needed for a full and speedy recovery.
When you check-in, you will need to sign an agreement to confirm that you understand the rules, your responsibilities and the measures in place to ensure a safe and sound environment for both staff and guests.
Food & drink
We have trained the catering and service staff to follow strict hygiene protocols. Including frequent hand washing and cough hygiene. We need you to disinfect your hands when entering or leaving all areas where we serve food and drink.
If we operate multiple lunch and dinner seatings to reduce crowding, we will tell you your meal times at check-in.
lunch: 12:00 to 13:30 and from 13:30 to 15:00
dinner: 19:00 to 20:30 and from 20:30 to 22:00
It is possible to reserve your preferred restaurant or table for the following day with the Elice Management and Digital Directory system.
Our trained dining staff will serve the buffet and all food including aperitifs, fruit and desserts from behind protective screens. They will wear masks and gloves and keep food, drink and buffet areas clean and sanitized between services. We do not permit self-service or the handing of food by guests.
We have organized the tables in dining areas, so that there is always 1 metre between guests from different parties. Wherever possible, use outdoor dining spaces like gardens and terraces, and keep to a safe follow social distancing protocols.
You can eat and drink at the coffee counter provided that it is possible to maintain the 1-meter social distancing protocol.
We offer a wide variety of entertainment throughout different areas of the village to give you a superb choice and a sense of freedom whilst staying safe.
You can also go into the amphitheatre in a safe and orderly manner whilst keeping to social distancing rules. A hand hygiene column is available for guests and staff at the entrance and arrangements ensure the minimum distance of 1 metre², between spectators of different parties.
Kids & Play
At check-in, we provide parents with information about our play activities and kids’ clubs, but we need you to give us official consent before children can take part. We now focus on delivering individual activities and games within shared spaces. Play areas and facilities are cleaned and disinfected after each use.
Cleaning and laundry
We clean and disinfect communal areas like; toilets, halls, corridors, lifts, more frequently than ever before. We regularly sanitize frequently touched areas like door handles, lift buttons, handrails, light switches, soap dispensers, taps and the receptions desk. You will longer be able to refuse room and laundry services under the current health and safety protocols.
We have even trained our beach staff to help you understand how to stay safe at the beach. It might be necessary to book your sunbrella using Elice or the Digital Directory.
We have organised the space to avoid crowding and to make sure that social distancing of 1 meter between parties is always possible. You will find hygiene stations throughout the area.
We will make sure that sunbrellas guarantee a safe distance of at least 10² meters. Other outdoor equipment, sun loungers and deckchairs will be distanced at 1.5m, when not positioned around the sunbrella. We disinfect everything after each use and sanitize daily.
You can eat and drink at the beach coffee counter provided that the 1-meter social distancing rule is followed.
Unfortunately, you cannot play contact sports or group games that do not support social distancing reules.
We will make sure that there is plenty of space on the shuttle bus with reduced/ alternate seating to ensure safe social distancing.
Swimmers must follow the instructions given by staff and displayed around the pool. The amount of disinfectant in the pool is within recommended international guidelines.
We arrange deckchairs and sunbeds to guarantee a social distance of at least 1.5m between different parties. We disinfect poolside equipment after each use and sanitize daily.
Please remember basic swimming pool hygiene rules:
- shower before entering the pool;
- wear a swimming cap,
- do not spit, blow your nose or urinate in the water,
- very young children must wear nappies.
You need to book the gym through The Elice management system Digital Directory.
Highly visible hand hygiene stations are at the entrance and exit of the gym, please use them when coming in and out. Keep clothing and personal items in your bag, even when stored in a locker.
We have carefully positioned the gym equipment to guarantee a safe distance of at least 1-meter and a member of staff will disinfect it after each use.
You will need to book SPAs and treatments through The Elice management system and the Digital Directory. Please remember that electronic payment is safer.
We have done everything necessary to reduce crowding, keep to 1-metre social distancing guidelines, and to follow protocols including the strategic positioning of highly visible hygiene stations, so please use them. We will give you any specific protective equipment you need for your treatment, but please come wearing a mask.
Keep clothing and personal items in your bag, even when stored in a locker. Please remember that we have removed magazines and newspapers for your safety.
